Most of Jacksonville smells pretty bad. I think it must be swamp or something. It smells like decaying biomass or sulfur and plain grossness. However, there is one place that ALWAYS smells good, if you like coffee. The Maxwell House manufacturing plant downtown smells, as Payton put it, like “breakfast” all the time. The coffee smell permeates the whole surrounding area so you can smell it from the highway. When you walk right next to it, it still smells good, not overpowering.
